Rhetoric Picture

This picture is basically saying, "cut the crap."  It is straight and to the point, and it would take a person with a big imagination to interpret it any differently.  The audience can literally be anyone who is full of crap.  It could be    aimed toward a politician, teacher, student, religious leader, or anyone that the author thinks is trying to spread some ridiculous lie.  Dean Brenner is the author of this picture is Dean Brenner who used it in a persuasive communication skills seminar.  He states that the first step to becoming a good speaker is to cut the crap and speak with authenticity.

  1. Just because you basically dared me, Erin, I must interpret this a little differently. I believe what the author is trying to relay, is that C and R should be taken out of the alphabet, or at least moved farther away than A and P which is interesting because those letters are all spread out. THEREFORE he must want someone to reinvent the alphabet putting I with U, C with R and A with P, of course all at different points of the alphabet. Reinvent the alphabet is like reinventing life. Be the scissors you wish to see in the world.

  2. I'll leave you two to the fine rhetoric you're tossing back and forth and have you cut to the chase in what it "really" means...
